A Piece of Me: Spoken Word Poetry Workshop

In this workshop, facilitated by Brave Space, we'll explore our own life experiences and identity and create a custom poetry piece to share who we are with pride and joy! Whether it's the smell of the spicy food we grew up with, the tunes of a drum in our kitchen, or the bright hair extensions we've added to represent our colorful nature, we all carry an identity that's worth writing about. Come join "A Piece of Me," an all-ages workshop where you will create a fun and engaging poetry piece about who you are. Let's walk in pride and invite others into our story!

These workshops are in preparation for the Pride Kick-off Open Mic event on Tuesday, May 26, although they aren't required in order to participate in the Open Mic!
