The Diverse Voices Speaker Series will be held at Haworth Hotel on Mondays throughout June from 7pm-9pm. These events are provided as a service to the community, with donations accepted to benefit further educational sessions with Out On The Lakeshore. Many of our bisexual friends have feelings of being invisible or that their identity is erased due to the relationships they choose. Yet, studies - including those by the Human Rights Campaign - suggest that about 50 percent of people who identify as either gay, lesbian or bisexual, identify as bisexual. This makes the bisexual population the single largest group within the LGBTQ community. “BI: Where You Live” is a panel discussion on June 19th focused on the recognition of neighbors in our West Michigan area who identify as bisexual. This multi-person panel will be moderated with questions from the wider West Michigan community.
